Prof. Daniela Dasheva is researcher and university lecturer with a broad scope of scientific interests. Her core scientific field is focused on the theory of sports preparation with an accent on elite sportsmen. Prof. Dasheva has more than 450 scientific articles on this topic. She has presented her original and deep research concepts to international audience during scientific conferences on almost all continents. Prof. Dasheva is an excellent international lecturer whether working with students in international programs or delivering lectures to professional coaches and sports specialists in Europe, Latin America, North Africa and Asia. Due to her active, fruitful and successful teamwork prof. Dasheva is being invited to different national and international working groups for solving political and methodological problems of sport organization and contents. Besides her academic interests and achievements, prof. Dasheva devotes huge energy and efforts to social governing and leadership. She is one of the first academic leaders at the university to initiate and implement European projects work with the opening of European programs to Bulgarian education institutions. Prof. Daniela Dasheva has lead more than 15 large international projects. In project implementation, she participates at both management and expert/research stages. Prof. Dasheva has considered her participation in European projects as a valuable chance to constantly making experiments and finding solutions to the most demanding problems stemming from her professional and social environment. In her capacity as vice rector for European integration and international relations at the National Sports Academy of Sofia prof. Dasheva has developed a large network of partner institutions for both student and teacher mobility and academic cooperation. The internationalization activities conducted under prof. Dasheva’s leadership head the university to the most attractive and up-to-date stages of European higher education and research areas.

Physical Education teacher, Basketball Coach – higher education, NSA; PhD in Coaching, Stress, Adaptation, National Sports Academy, Bulgaria, 1991; MA in Physical Education and Psychology, Katholieke Univerisiteit van Leuven, Belgium, 1995; DSc in Pedagogical Sciences, National Sports Academy, Bulgaria, 2004 ; Full Professor on Theory and Methodology of Sports Training, National Sports Academy, Bulgaria, 2006; 2007 – 2012 — Vice rector for European integration and international relations; 2012-2015 – Vice-rector for Research, Projects and International Relations; 2005 – 2007 — head of the Centre for European integration and international relations; 2001 – Up to date head of the Department of Sports Theory and a member of the Academic and Scientific council at the National Sports Academy (NSA).
Professor Dasheva has over 200 scientific publications, including 11 books (monographs and manuals). These deal with theoretical and methodological problems of sports training, and the use of mathematical and statistical methods to control and optimize the training process with elite athletes.
Professor Dasheva is a member of various organizations.

Доктор биологических наук, старший научный сотрудник, заведующий лабораторией стимуляции работоспособности и адаптационных реакций в спорте высших достижений Научно-исследовательского института Национального университета физического воспитания и спорта Украины, член Ученого совета НИИ НУФВСУ, член редакционных коллегий двух научных специализированных журналов ВАК Украины, которые издаются в НУФВСУ – «Наука в олимпийском спорте» и «Спортивная медицина».
Автор 300 научных и учебно-методических работ, среди них – статьи в журналах, индексируемых и входящих в международные базы данных Scopus, Ulrich’s International Periodical Directory, Index Copernicus и др. Основное направление научной деятельности – особенности адаптации гомеостаза организма к интенсивным физическим нагрузкам, методология оценки перетренированности и фармакологической поддержки спортивной деятельности. Среди основных научных работ – фундаментальные издания: «Спортивная фармакология и диетология», 2008 (соавтор и редактор); «Фармакология спорта», 2010 (соавтор и редактор); «Допинг в спорте и проблемы фармакологических обеспечения подготовки спортсменов», 2010 (соавтор); «Медико-биологическое обеспечение подготовки хоккеистов» 2013 (соавтор и редактор). В 2010 году была победителем конкурса Национального олимпийского комитета Украины на лучшую научную работу в номинации «Лучшая научная книга года».
Л.М. Гунина является членом Ассоциации специалистов по спортивной медицине и лечебной физической культуры Украины; неоднократно награждена Почетными знаками отличия и грамотами Национального олимпийского комитета Украины (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012), Министерства Украины по делам молодежи и спорта «(2007, 2010, 2011), Почетной Грамотой Верховной Рады Украины «За особые заслуги перед Украинским народом»(2008).
Под научным руководством Л.М.Гуниной подготовлено 2 кандидата наук.
