Objective. To highlight existing provisions and innovations in the wording of Anti-doping Code to come into operation on January 1, 2015.
Methods. Analysis of data of scientific literature and the text of new Anti-doping Code.
Results. The whole complex of doping control procedures, including peculiarities of revealing banned substances and methods in accordance with the Code and WADA international standards is described in the review. Analysis of current notions about doping control with recommendations and comments of experts is presented. The major attention is focused on the latest events and the results of doping control at 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games and 2014 Sochi winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Provisions of a new wording of Anti-doping Code are discussed.
Conclusion. Provisions of a new Anti-doping Code envisage significant changes, being rather against athlete; however, they should be taken into account in the system of long-term preparation of national team members to avoid undesirable doping scandals.
