Objective. To determine the models for improvement of the elite athlete preparation system in the system of the Olympic sport.
Methods. Theoretical analysis and generalization.
Results. Environmental factors have been considered with respect to preparation system and competitive activity of elite athletes.
Conclusion. Systematization of factors, demonstration of their relationship indicate that the modern model of elite sport and the Olympic preparation have become more complex and multifaceted. The significance of indirect impact factors that predetermine the potentials of those of direct influence upon the process of athletes’ preparation has been increased under modern conditions.
