The paper analyzes dependence of realization of versatile and substantiated model of elite athlete preparation and its resource support on management quality, which is suggested to be considered at two levels. The first level is represented by indirect environmental factors such as overcoming departmental barriers and interests, combination of administrative and democratic forms of management, optimization of relations between sports elite, nearest and remote reserve, etc., whereas the second level involves expansion of service spectrum and coordination of activities of specialists from different areas, involved in organization and realization of preparation and competitive activity of athletes.
