Objective. To study the current state of scientific communication in Olympic sport.
Methods. Analysis of research papers and documentary sources, as well as of the data from Internet with a set of empirical, general logical and systematic methods.
Results. At the present stage of development of sports science, the processes of international integration have been intensified. An analysis of trends and content of activity for thirteen international associations on various aspects of the Olympic sport. The main content of their work is organization of congresses, conferences and other public events, production of publications in print and electronic format, development of informational networks.
Conclusions. Creation of international professional organizations for cooperation, exchange of experiences, providing assistance in solving urgent problems contributes to the accumulation and sharing of knowledge in Olympic sports.
