Abstract:
Objective. Substantiation of psychophysiological aspects of playing position determining in volleyball.
Methods. Analysis and generalization of data of scientific-methodical literature, results of personal studies, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results. Differences have been revealed in volleyball players of different positions in neurodynamic and cognitive characteristics, cognitive-activity styles and vegetative nervous system activity. Their impact upon formation of the levels of player psychophysiological state has been demonstrated.
Conclusion. It has been revealed that psychophysiological indices may be used as criteria for determining playing positions in volleyball.
